Waterfalls

I love waterfalls and have for as long as I can remember. I especially love to photograph them. I'm lucky to live in the South where there are so many cool ones. Not a lot of people know just how many waterfalls we have in this area.

Savannah GA March 2008

We go to Savannah several times a year for either races or just for fun. It is only 4 hours away and such a cool city. Here are some pics I took along River Street and at Bonaventure Cemetary. Bonaventure is a beautiful cemetary (as far as cemetary's go) and the flowers were all in bloom.

Becki's Wedding October 11,2008

My friend Becki asked me if I was interested in taking her pics at her wedding in Hilton Head. She saw Allison's maternity pics and liked what she saw. I was flattered that she would want me to take her wedding pictures. I was also nervous that I would mess up the pics and she would hate me,but I think they turned out great and Becki was pleased with the end result. It was a great opportunity and I had a great time doing it.

Allison's maternity pics (May 2008)

My friend Allison asked me if I would be interested in taking her maternity pics. Allison had seen some of the pictures that I had taken and evidently liked what she saw. I had never really photographed anyone, but thought it would be a great opportunity. We went to Life University here in Atlanta and took the outdoor shots. I think they turned out really well for my first gig.

Patrick's Day at the zoo

On the choo choo train

Look at those eyelashes!

My friend Allison wanted me to take some pics of her little one, Patrick. We picked a nice day and went to Zoo Atlanta. Patrick did great getting his picture taken. He is so photogenic!

Deals Gap Weekend (November 2008)

Tray and I went with 9 of our friends to Deals Gap on the NC/TN border. Tail of the Dragon in Deals Gap is a twisty road that motorcycles and sports cars like to visit because there are 318 curves in 11 miles. We took the Mustang up there and our friends brought along their sports car as well. We had a great time just cruising through the curves and looking at the Fall leaves.

Baja Mexico (November 2007)

Our friend Jeff had been telling us all about his previous Baja trips and wanted us to go with him. We are always up for a trip to somewhere warm so we were in. We went for 5 days. We flew into San Diego, rented a Jeep Liberty and the three of us drove across the border. First we went to San Felipe and stayed the first night. They "lost" our reservation so we ended up sleeping in this "tree house" type arrangement and using our clothes as pillows and blankets. When we awoke the next morning, I discovered we were about 1000 ft from a gorgeous beach. We stayed 3 nights at a place called Bahia de Los Angeles or Bay of LA. It was very remote and so gorgeous. We had THE BEST fish tacos there at the little hotel we stayed at. I found some sea shells along the beach that were unbelievable. I managed to get them back to Atlanta without breaking a one of them and still have them in an apothecary jar in my bathroom. Long story, short we had a great time in Baja and it is amazing and remote beautiful place that I fear will end up being devoloped in the next ten years or so.

Titans game November 2008

We went to the TN Titans vs. NY Jets game in Nashville. We hadnt been to a Titans game in a couple of years and we also wanted to see Brett Favre play (even if he was on the opposing team). The Titans lost and it was insanely cold, but it was great to be in my hometown of Nashville anyway.

Sebring International Raceway (January 2009)

We went to Sebring, FL for a race in January. The weather was great. It was in the low 80's and sunny. Anna, Sherri and myself went and bought swimsuits and then went and layed out by the hotel pool while the guys "played cars" at the track.

Barber Motorsports Park(September 2008)

Ever since I got my new camera I have been taking some pretty neat pics of Tray racing at various race tracks. He has been racing since he was 7 years old, started out with go karts and moved up from there. He currently races an open wheel car known as a Spec Racer Ford or SRF. He goes all over the Southeast racing and sometimes I tag along especially if there is a beach in close proximity. These photos were taken at Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama (right outside of Birmingham). It is a one of the nicer race tracks that we go to. http://www.scca-enterprises.com/spec_ford.html

Photo Contest

The hospital I work at announced last year that they were having a photo contest. They were remodeling one of the floors and wanted some cheap art work. The theme was "Natures Inspiration" I decided to enter and never dreamed I would win, but I did! Here is the pic that is blown up and framed and hanging in the GI floor staff bathroom of all places.
