Providence Canyon

I took a little day trip down to Providence Canyon State Park in South Georgia. Many people don't even know this place exists, but it is one of "Georgia's Seven Wonders". They call it Little Grand Canyon. It was pretty cool, but not sure it was worth the drive down there(3 hrs from ATL). This place is definitely off the beaten path. It did give me a chance to try out my wide angle lens that Tray got me for Christmas. The history of the canyon indicate that the canyon began forming in the early 1800s as the result of poor soil-management practices. It looks like something you would see out West, rather than in Georgia.

Savannah March 2009

Tray raced in Savannah this weekend so we loaded up the truck and the race trailor and headed South. Anna, Halei and I decided to take advantage of this nice weather while the boys were at the race track on Friday. We drove down to St Simons Island and sank our toes on the sand. It was so nice to be back on the beach after a long winter. I took some photos of Halei on the beach and they turned out pretty nice. She loves to pose for the camera. Also I am attaching some obligatory race photos since that is the reason for the trip. We will be back in Savannah the end of April for Tray's birthday and another race.

Lauryn's Newborn pictures

My friend Lynne asked me to take some pics of her almost 2 year old twin boys (Matthew and Andrew) and their new baby sister, Lauryn. I went over to Lynne's house when Lauryn was about 12 days old. It was a challenge to get pics of the boys, but the baby was easy. She just laid there:) I had fun taking pics and even got some good pictures of the dogs.

Waterfalls

I love waterfalls and have for as long as I can remember. I especially love to photograph them. I'm lucky to live in the South where there are so many cool ones. Not a lot of people know just how many waterfalls we have in this area.

Savannah GA March 2008

We go to Savannah several times a year for either races or just for fun. It is only 4 hours away and such a cool city. Here are some pics I took along River Street and at Bonaventure Cemetary. Bonaventure is a beautiful cemetary (as far as cemetary's go) and the flowers were all in bloom.

Becki's Wedding October 11,2008

My friend Becki asked me if I was interested in taking her pics at her wedding in Hilton Head. She saw Allison's maternity pics and liked what she saw. I was flattered that she would want me to take her wedding pictures. I was also nervous that I would mess up the pics and she would hate me,but I think they turned out great and Becki was pleased with the end result. It was a great opportunity and I had a great time doing it.

Allison's maternity pics (May 2008)

My friend Allison asked me if I would be interested in taking her maternity pics. Allison had seen some of the pictures that I had taken and evidently liked what she saw. I had never really photographed anyone, but thought it would be a great opportunity. We went to Life University here in Atlanta and took the outdoor shots. I think they turned out really well for my first gig.

Patrick's Day at the zoo

Look at those eyelashes!

My friend Allison wanted me to take some pics of her little one, Patrick. We picked a nice day and went to Zoo Atlanta. Patrick did great getting his picture taken. He is so photogenic!

Deals Gap Weekend (November 2008)

Tray and I went with 9 of our friends to Deals Gap on the NC/TN border. Tail of the Dragon in Deals Gap is a twisty road that motorcycles and sports cars like to visit because there are 318 curves in 11 miles. We took the Mustang up there and our friends brought along their sports car as well. We had a great time just cruising through the curves and looking at the Fall leaves.
